Vardar West U17 Premier Boys start season well! |
|
|
Saturday,
April 14, 2012 - U17's beat a solid Wolves Team 5-1
in MSPSL play. The Lads started well, scoring a nice
header and were leading 4-0 at the half. The Wolves
played with spirit in the 2nd half and pulled one back.
Vardar responded with a nice combination goal by Jimmy
H. and Nick R. to put the match out of reach!
Sunday, April 15, 2012 -- U17's
won an end to end contest 2-0 vs. Lobos in State Cup.
The Lobos team played physical and were good in
possession. Vardar West scored early, hit the bar twice,
and had a goal called back for offside. Leading 1-0 at
the half, the team knew they had their work cut out for
them. A late free kick by Brandon G. settled the tie and
our State Cup Points were at 3.

Central Michigan Tourney:
Saturday and Sunday, March 10-11, 2012 Boys and Girls
Teams provide exciting moments vs. good opponents!
- U10 Boys played very well finishing
with 2 wins and 1 tough loss.
- U12 Girls played strong at times and
finished 2 wins and 1 rough loss.
- U12 Boys finished 1-1-1, coming from
being 3-0 down in the final game to win 6-5. Very
Exciting!
- U13 Boys lost a very close game to
strong U13 opposition and then ran into the the rest of
the group, the U14's. A Daunting task! Still they
provided moments of Brilliance!
- U14 Girls went 2 and 1 in group play
and made their second consecutive tournament final. They
finished Runner Up and made us very Proud!

|
OCTOBER 15, 2011 -- The
U14 Girls Vardar West - team won the 2012
Michigan State on October 15 th.
The girls were the 7th
seed in the tournament going 6-0 and meeting the
Michigan Hawks in the final winning 2-0.
Congratulations to the Girls and Coaches.

SEPTEMBER 2011 --
Vardar West Teams
represent well in Lansing Sept. 18th
- U12 Boys finished 2 wins and 1
tough loss.
- U13 Boys finished 1-1-1 against
good competition.
- U14 Girls made the final with 2
wins and a draw.
The final U14 Girls game was very
competitive. Vardar West fell behind early against
the run of play. Whitney K. got on the end of a
cross to get us back in the game. The opposition
scored on a good counter attack in the 2nd half.
Natalie H. scored the equalizer within
minutes of the final whistle! After two 5 minute
periods, we went to penalties. Final Score was 4-3
for our opponent!
Overall, a Great Weekend! Proud

final at Traverse City Tourney.
U12 Boys played hard through 3 tough games before
meeting a good North Storm 99 team in the final.
We are very proud of the boys and the continued
improvement in their game.

U18’s
Come Close to 3rd Consecutive State Cup Championship! |
|
|
March 7, 2010 --
Our U18 boys
played in their 3rd consecutive state cup final two
weeks ago.Our first half was
some of the finest football we’ve ever played.
Opponent (Wolves) scored with a
looping toe ball deflection against the run of play.
Midway through the second half, we equalized. We
had them on their heels. Then we let our guard down and
conceded two very weak goals.
Over the years, the boys have been in
the cup final for the State of Michigan 6 out of 7 years
they were eligible.
They were champions at U13 (GVP), U16
and U17. Runners up at U12 (GVP), U14 (GVP), and U18.
Next year, we will have 11 players
from this group move onto NCAA Div I, II, III and NAIA
schools.
We have 4 players still in high
school.

West U18’s has finish strong against good opposition at
the 2010 Grand Valley State University Tournament.
Overall, there were 10 goals scored with some
wonderful strikes from Mr. Crnkic (5), Mr. Karasiewicz
(2), Mr. Campos (2) and Mr. Conerty and Mr. Rodriguez.
The back line allowed 2 goals over the course of 4
games.

Eight goals from some classic strikes and the Defense
held solid conceding few opportunities and zero goals
against!
Well
done Mr. Lewis (GK) and the back line of Fisher, Love, Murray, Strong and Durso. The
Midfield of Karasiewicz, Conerty, Thomas, Nousain, Campos and Durso had some great control and
creative flair. Up front, Mr. Crnkic
and Mr. Rodriguez caused havoc for the opponents.
Overall, great start to the season against good
competition.

Our U12 Girls went 1-1-1 in their group and were within a goal post of the
final.The U10 Girls played some very tight games and played very well given the
rules for the younger groups and ended up 1 and 2 for the weekend.
The U11 Boys found the back of the net in abundance defeating a tough TKO
Blue team 2-1 and ending their tourney with a strong 4-1 victory over a good Okemos team.

at Regionals |

(October 1, 2009) -
U17 Boys finished Regionals with a strong 6-1 victory
against a previously unbeaten Evansville team. Our
record of 1-1-1 was not enough to get us into the
playoffs.
As U18’s, the Lads are having good seasons with their
high school teams and are looking forward to defending
the State Cup Championship as they go for 3 in a Row.

(June, 2009) -
Vardar West won a hard fought victory over a tough
Michigan Rush Team. Score was 0-0 at half time.
About 15 minutes into the second half, Fred Smyser
played a great
through ball to Nermin Chrnic. Nermin scored
seconds later under by slotting the ball past on
onrushing goalie.
Rush continued to fight hard and were rewarded ten
minutes later after Jacob Karasiewicz of Vardar West was
taken down with no foul called. Rush converted an
easy header at the far post.
Vardar West pressed hard for the winner after the
restart. Ryan Conerty gathered the ball in
midfield, evaded some pressure and
hammered a powerful shot against the post. Jared
Love had moved up from the back line to win balls in the
air.
He coolly stuck the bouncing ball far post for the
lead. Rush once again pressured after the restart. Sean
Lewis, the Vardar West keeper came up big in the end to
preserve the victory.
The back line of Sean Lewis, Ty Fisher, Lawrence
Murray, Joey Uhl and Jared Love dug in to the final
whistle.

Boys played well throughout the weekend.
Their final victory was 4-2 against a strong Georgetown
Rangers team.Congratulations Boys!

The U17 Boys had a strong
showing. Their final was played against the nationally
ranked U15 Crew team. The Vardar West boys ended up
3-0 victors with some late goals. The game was very tight

(Friday 7 March 2008) announced details of a partnership
with Vardar-West Soccer Club as part of their highly
successful Soccer Schools programme. Over the past three
years, Rangers overseas camps have gone from strength to
strength, with Soccer School activities taking place in
America, Canada, Australia, Germany and Spain.
